Long enough

Long enough I’ve been superman
to make myself I don’t get hurt
to pretend I laugh when I wanna cry
and let foreign faces walk down on mine.
Long enough I’ve been cool
to make all believe in my strengths
‘n the masks I dress from time to time.
They’ve spent time long enough
to see me weak and sick
but finally nobody noticed me
walking down the line,
edging from fear to love.
Long enough… I’ve been me.
